Overview of the competition

Shore Lines is an annual competition and festival providing a unique opportunity for writers to present their work to a live audience.

If you enjoy writing and would like your work performed, then Shore Lines is for you. The competition calls for written entries that will be judged on the quality of the writing and their suitability for performance. We encourage a wide range of genres including monologues, poems, plays, stories, comedy, songs, hip hop or rap.

Winners will be announced and a selection of shortlisted entries will be performed at the Shore Lines Writing for Performance event on Saturday 17 October 2026 at the Bunbury Regional Entertainment Centre.
