Please join us celebrating the Between the Lines Literature Festival! Come meet the authors, relax and engage in professional learning with Joel McKerrow. Joel will be revealing the relationship between creativity and well-being and providing practical ideas and engaging activities for teachers to experiment with.

About Joel McKerrow:
Joel has spent the last fifteen years captivating hundreds of thousands of people, on global stages, with his passionate performative style and highly inspiring keynote presentations. He is an award-winning writer, keynote speaker, performer, Master of Ceremonies, educator and one of Australia's most successful performance poets. Joel was the third ever Australian representative at the Individual World Poetry Slam Championships and is currently the Director of The School for Creative Development and the Vic/Tas Vice-President for PSA (Professional Speakers Australia). He delivers professional development and runs school incursions regularly.

PROFESSIONAL LEARNING TERM 4 2024: Embedding the elements of writing in English

Embedding teaching the elements of writing in your programs and understanding how they are assessed in NAPLAN and OLNA is integral in English. This professional learning workshop will teach you about the ten core writing skills students need to develop to be proficient, and will provide some tips and tricks to maximise student learning and results. This PD is not only great for those starting out, but for experienced teachers reflecting on and refreshing programs to improve in 2025.
